Home Inspectors who work for state and local government agencies help support safe communities by identifying issues with residences and encouraging construction professionals to adhere to building codes, laws and regulations by issuing fines and stop-work orders.
A Home Inspector, or Housing Inspector, is a professional who examines single-family homes to determine if they comply with safety standards and building codes in their geographic locations. Their duties include evaluating building plans based on established criteria, performing onsite tests and writing reports that detail their findings.
