Cardiovascular Technicians support physicians by operating imaging equipment that helps inform the physician of any important diagnostic information before, during or after medical procedures. Although Cardiovascular Technicians broadly assist with lung and heart conditions, they may specialize in certain types of equipment operation or testing. These roles include Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists, Cardiographic or Electrocardiogram Technicians and Pulmonary Function Technologists. Within their specialty, Cardiovascular Technicians perform tests to help with diagnosis and treatment.
