Field Service Technicians work in the field, traveling to customer locations to provide service, maintenance and installation. They use their technical skills to troubleshoot issues when they arise to keep the customer’s equipment functioning properly. A Field Service Technician not only ensures the equipment is installed and working properly, but also manages customer relationships to boost customer retention and satisfaction, which ultimately boosts the company’s profitability.
A Field Service Technician, or Field Tech, provides installation and maintenance for equipment in the field. Their duties include installation, troubleshooting and repairs.
