Pediatricians typically work for hospitals, private practices and clinical facilities to perform routine medical checkups and diagnose ailments in children between the ages of zero and 18. Their duties include communicating with patients and their parents to help them maintain healthy habits, administering vaccinations for common viruses or allergies and referring patients to specialists based on their needs.
