A Fire Alarm Technician installs complex fire alarm systems in homes and businesses. Their job duties include setting up sensors, wiring the system and ensuring the equipment works properly. Fire Alarm Technicians also help clients understand how their fire alarm systems work. In addition to installations, Fire Alarm Technicians perform regular inspections on existing systems to ensure they’re working correctly. If there’s a problem, they will visit the location to troubleshoot and make repair recommendations.
