A State Tested Nursing Assistant, or STNA, is a nursing assistant who takes care of patients under the watchful eye of a Registered Nurse. STNA job descriptions are found in Ohio (other states use the alternative job title Certified Nurse Assistant, or CNA), where the STNA’s primary duties include monitoring patients, assisting with hygeineand aiding doctors and nurses during medical procedures.
