A Sales Intern may gain real-world experience as part of a college program or at the entry level to make a career shift. Sales Interns may be hired for pay by companies or work to earn credit for a college program to meet graduation requirements. The Sales Intern observes and supports the sales manager and sales team in any way possible. They are delegated specific tasks to carry out but should also take initiative to ask questions and take notes. Sales Interns may interact with or have duties overlapping with Marketing Interns, depending on which company they complete their internship with.
A Sales Intern, or Junior Sales Associate, is someone who assists senior sales staff in an entry-level role while gaining experience in the field. Their duties include conducting research, attending meetings and making phone calls or responding to emails.
