Pathology Assistants are trained health professionals who work closely with Pathologists to perform a variety of tasks. An Assistant’s skills can be valuable during complex surgical procedures, as well as when an extra pair of hands is needed for research or lab work. A Pathologist Assistant typically spends most of their time handling specimens. Evaluating specimens removed during surgery, conducting thorough examinations and submitting samples for testing are all key parts of this role.
